London SHOW - 2010

Please share ideas of how we want to decorate the outer look of the exhibition using this panorama photo as we have a big space on top of the windows and the glass windows itself... The question is how we can attract everyone to visit and spend more time in our exhibition as well as other colleges on the other building???

One Minute Soundsculpture

One Minute Soundsculpture from Daniel Franke on Vimeo.
This was amazing...
A piece of so called sound sculpture by Daniel Franke’s. One of the comments on this video was that tangibility no longer has the value it once did, information and compatibility are more important. Tangible can be redefined as downloadable or viewable. I totally agree that the new generation of the mixed media still has got much more to offer. I have lots of inspirations by looking at these type of works, but I am trying to be inventive and creative at the same time to produce an original piece of work for my FMP project. I'm also looking at video sculptures relating to AUGMENTED REALITY subject alongside with my own experimentation which I try to post them on the blog regularly and share the ideas ...

B-HIVE...
The similarity between the human and trees. The root in a tree could represent faith in human life. The trunk, branches and leaves are the body of our spiritual lives--our intellectual, emotional and practical achievements. The fruit is our power of spiritual procreation -- the power to influence others, to plant a seed in a fellow human being and see it sprout, grow and bear fruit.
So by combining these two creation of the mother nature, we are sending this message out that its not just another form of creation that we are saving its life, but its a creature that have so much in common with human and maybe the humans still not educated enough to understand the importance of saving a tree by recycling papers. I understand that we are not only recycling papers but to advertise and acknowledge people about the benefits of recycling for human race, I think its is an interesting point to raise up.

Homage_#1
Homage is the title of our new photography brief and what we needed to do was to portray time on the photos.
My initial thought was to show different people walking on the streets from the same angle (of the camera view) and by adjusting the shutter speed, get the sense of the movement of both the camera and the subject. My first attempt was to experiment this by taking the photos while I was in the car, so the blurriness of the photos is actually intentional. I also wanted to portraite the dificulties that the people have in their life, that's why I shot the photos in the different horisental rotation which was also intentional.
To continue this brief, I want to start working with my old analog PRAKTICA camera using B&W film and experiment this with the different shutter speed and using a tripod ...

Personal Statement Poster Brief
The line that I chose for this A3 poster brief with Simon from my personal statement which say's: "I realy enjoy experimenting with SOUND, SHAPE, LIGHT & COLOUR". I produce this poster by thinking about the negative space between the 4 word and covered these spaces with writing the actual sentence repeatedly. It kind of make a link or a relationship between these 4 word and what they actualy means...

‘video paintings’

the fight, courtesy of LTMH gallery, new york and east central gallery, london
east central present an exhibition curated by nour wali, featuring collaborative works by iranian born artists shoja azari (b. 1958) and shahram karimi (b.1957). since 2006, azari (new york based) and karimi (living between germany and new york) have worked in partnership to master a revolutionary approach to painting and video art by intertwining the two art forms to create ‘video paintings’: azari developing the videos and concept; karimi realising the meticulously crafted paintings. included in the celebrated “iran inside out” group exhibition at the chelsea art museum in new york (june-september 2009), this will be the artists’ first exhibition in europe to showcase their sensational “oil paintings” (2009) and shoja azari’s “coffee house painting” video (2009). this is the artists’ first solo exhibition in the uk.

FMP UPDATE ...

The source of inspiration was the traditional cultural heritage of Iran with its calligraphy, symbols, motifs, patterns and colors which were transformed into contemporary art.
I design this poster for a kick start of my FMP and also as a reminder to myself to study this art form and investigating into the new ways of developing it further.
